About MaresiasTur
MaresiasTur Receptivo & Ecoturismo is a local tour operator specializing in adventure tourism and ecotourism in Maresias, on the North Coast of São Paulo state, Brazil. We take visitors to the islands off São Sebastião's South Coast, to the waterfalls and lookouts of the Atlantic Forest and under the sea, with a focus on safety, a certified team and respect for nature.
Our story
MaresiasTur started in 2016, when extreme sports athlete Thiago Bertassoni and tour guide Fabrício Barboza realized that São Sebastião was missing a company specializing in adventure tourism. What we do
- Boat and speedboat tours: Ilha das Couves, Ilha dos Gatos, Ilha do Montão de Trigo and a route to Ilhabela, on shared departures or with a private boat.
- Hikes and nature: the 7 Quedas Waterfall and the EcoTour to Calhetas Beach.
- Adventure: the 10-meter Lookout Rappel and a 96-meter rappel down the Calhetas Waterfall.
- Diving: try scuba diving at Ilha das Cabras, in Ilhabela, with a PADI® instructor.
- Adventure Package: a day with a BikeTour around the village, a river swim and rappelling.
How we work
- Certified guides and trail leaders on hikes and adventure activities.
- Licensed boat captains and safety equipment on all boat tours.
- Individual insurance included in the rappelling tours, the Adventure Package and the introductory dive.
- Online booking with confirmation via WhatsApp, and real human support before and after your tour.
- Clear rules: if weather or safety conditions cancel a departure, you choose between rescheduling or a full refund. See the cancellation policy.

Our commitment to nature
We are official partners of the São Sebastião City Hall's E-LIXO program: we exchange electronic waste for native Atlantic Forest seedlings and plant them every month, as we have for more than 5 years. That adds up to more than 2,000 seedlings planted. Learn about the project (in Portuguese).
